One of the world’s wealthiest and largest economies, France is the second largest economy in all of Europe. Economy of France endured just four quarters of contraction when it entered into the recession of 2008-2009; and then left it faster than many other economies. Since the second quarter of the year 2009, economy of France has been continuously growing along with its exports. What France does export to China?

After USA, Japan and China, France has the fourth ranking in the Fortune Global 500 but it is very well ahead of UK and Germany. Its economy is at par with 39 of the 500 biggest companies on the globe in 2010. France exports a number of things to China that range from automobile products, machinery and transportation equipment, chemicals, aircraft, construction material and civil engineering products, plastics, chemicals, pharmaceutical products, ship building basics (naval and specialist ships), iron and steel, aerospace and defense, beverages, telecommunications (including communication satellites) and electronics. France also exports different wine ranges, dairy products, vegetables, pork, fruits, poultry and apples to China.
It flourishes in several industries and shares produce such as energy, national defense, nuclear power plant basics, ground transportation and environmental protection, and aviation fundamentals with China. In all these areas it is in a leading position in comparison to most countries all over the world. However, it faces fierce competition from emerging countries or local enterprises with respect of cars, consumer goods, consumer electronics and even garments.
France banks on the growth potential of the Chinese economy, especially in the areas of strong consumer spending, which was accompanied by the annual GDP growth in double digit. Trade deficit of France has been impacted by increase in exports of electronic equipments, consumer electronics, garments and consumer goods. Infrastructure developing needs of China that has been growing due to a number of projects that have been targeted such as transportation, water supply and electricity.
France and China trade via contracts, important to the political relation and play key stake holders in projects of state and government initiatives. During and after Sino French heads of states meetings, many of the French big enterprises have announced new plans for investment and obtaining contracts. This is not at all surprising, considering that since the year 2000, this economic relation is getting stronger. In fields like environmental engineering, aerospace and energy, France plays a very important role as a contractor.
